Shingle Creek Ward held the annual Halloween Party (or Fall Festival) last night along with a Chile cook off. It was well attended and had a lot of great costumes.

I thought Lorelei's costume was one of the best. She was Astrid from the movie "How To Train Your Dragon". She does look like an Astrid - from good Norwegian stock. You will not find this at any costume shop. Tana made it all from head to foot.

Then we have Gigi who was Lava Girl from another favorite movie they like. She's hot!

Joseph was ... What do you think? Harry Potter? Looks a lot like Mr. Potter, complete with forehead scar. He swings a mean wand.

Calvin started out to be Yoda, with a Tana made Yoda hat. But as you can see, his costume is convertible. Here he is Obi Wan Kenobi. And if you pull the hood down even farther, he would be the evil Emperor.

Others in attendance were a Cheerleader (Elise), and a sweet candy corn older sister (Amber)

And the oldest sister, Megan, was a School Teacher. "No talking or I'll whack your knuckles.

I guess Courtney was a BYU Cougar or is she a real cougar and Andrew was the Tooth Fairy.

Elin is the wicked witch from the north. Well actually she is really nice.

Astrid and her BFF, the witch.

The Lake family took the Ameses place in the ward, right down to buying their house. Superwoman, Superman and a princess with Dad

Mirjam and Jon were, well guess! Zombies? Or perhaps Sally & Jack Skellington?

Then off to for some Trunk-or-Treating. Astrid couldn't wait for it and she did not slow down one bit. She ran frm trunk to trunk. She said she went around four times????

Lava Girl kept Harry company so that no danger would happen.

Then on to the annual pie eating contest. I participated last year and actually finished first but I didn't stand up, so I lost.

And the winner is.....................Bishop Macdonald. He is fast.

That looks like so much fun. I miss everyone.
Mirjam & Jon were Sally & Jack Skellington from the nightmare before Christmas.
Great pictures - we're always happy to crash a Shingle Creek Party - we love everybody there so much we can't leave.
