50's Grill and Minnehaha Park

The second half of the fun day was with the Smentek and Larsen grand kids. We started off with lunch at the 50's Grill for burgers and malts. Kellan already knows what he wanted and ready to give up his kid's menu. Well, he would wrinkle up anything that is placed before him.
Logan and Liam are well into pre-lunch activities with dad. But it looks like dad is the one doing the activity.
Neither Brandon nor Andrew wanted their picture taken so that is why only one of them was actually facing the camera.
I am WAITING! Where is my lunch? I'm wringing my fingers.
On to the park. The falls were flowing good today. I supposed they opened the flood gates in Lake Minnetonka to get them to look like this just for us.
While we were waiting for a surrey to become available, I took Logan and Liam to the top of the falls so that they could get a good glimpse. Of course they wanted to climb upon top of the railing to get a better look. I told them that when I was a pre-teen, I used to walk behind the falls for an adventure. Since then the falls have eroded back several feet and it is now impossible to do that. And at that time Minneapolis was safe enough to let a ten year old kid ride his bike all the way to Minnehaha park or to the Minneapolis Airport or to downtown without worry. Today it is "Don't go off this block! In fact, do not leave my site".
A single surrey became available in about 20 minutes and we were ready. At least Logan and Liam were ready. They climbed up and got comfortable. "Who likes a surrey ride? Say me".
The first part of the ride involved the above group - Logan Liam, Brandon and Jeff. They went around the path to the east. Then Andrew and I traded placed with Brandon and Jeff and took the Dudes on a shorter trip to the west. Andrew was in charge of driving. Look out world. Andrew had his first driving lesson.
Kirstin and Kellan just hung out with Judy while the rest of us got all sweaty and tired. It is hard to keep those things going, especially uphill. All had fun.
