On Sunday, both Ellie and Mingah, as she is affectionately called by her older siblings, wore matching dresses.
This was at the beginning of the photo shoot when both were smiling for me.
This was toward the end. I think that Mingah was getting a bit tired of all the flashing and all the "look over here"s going on and maybe a bit tired of her older sister holding her, that it seems like Mingah is punching Ellie in the nose. But she was actually just reaching up to touch Ellie's face.
I think that Charlie will grow up to be an entertainer. He grabbed Anna's wig and put it on. Then he had to put it on everyone in the room.
I had a lot of fun with Charlie. He doesn't have a Nuk any longer and he has discovered his thumb. When I saw his thumb in his mouth, I would yank it out and threaten to eat his thumb. One time I did take a "bite" and before he knew it I had tucked his thumb under his fingers in a closed fist and said, "See, it's gone!" He was very concerned, so I magically found it in my ear and reattached it. He was amazed. He started showing everyone else his "new magic trick" by pulling his thumb out of their ears. You've got to love this boy. If I saw his thumb in his mouth I would say "What am I going to do when I see your thumb in your mouth?" He would pull it out, tuck his thumb under his fingers, giggle and yell, "It's gone! It's in your ear." And then proceed to pull it out of your ear and attach it.
Everyone was going ga-ga over Amelia as you can see here.
It was costume dress-up time. Charlie had on some kind of shiny robot outfit and was catching things with his bug net.
Eric donned his pirate outfit to scare the evil spirits away.
Ellis was a ballerina and showed us some of her dance moves.
Family chaos.
Bed time didn't always mean they would stay there. But there was a song, a story and a prayer.
Ellie was so gracious to give up her room to her grandparents and joined the boys in their room. This will work for about another year and a half.
Goodnight Charlie. Hey, I'm going to eat your thumb!
We had such a wonderful time and already miss them soo much.
A good day
