Is Blogging Outdated?
I am just wondering if blogs are going extinct because Facebook is easier and shorter, but you can't get all the content of a blog post in Facebook. Seems like more and more people are only posting once or twice per year or have abandoned their Blogs all together. My counter is not going up and there have not been many comments which tells me I am posting to myself. I guess I will need to copy my posts in a book for Family History. Just sounding off.

I'm not on facebook and I know people say it's fast and bam it's there but I like the separateness of blogs, on your time and on other peoples' time.
I'm of the opinion that too much of social media is basically narcissism. Not everyone, not everything.

Naturally, I loved all these posts! I just didn't get around to checking any blogs until now, and yours was the first. I agree that facebook definitely detracts attention people would otherwise devote to blogging. Blogs have a much different feel, one that I personally prefer, and I am with you that blogs are certainly more valuable as a family record. That's why I keep my blog, as well. If it's interesting to people in the present, that's just a bonus. =)
We loved having you here and are so grateful for all you did to help us. Thanks for taking so many great pictures, too! I will get around to blogging about your visit hopefully before your next visit. =) -Tiff
I say keep blogging! I can foresee some kind of backlash against the social media at some point - even though I use it to keep in touch.
