Our journey is fast coming to an end. It has been fun and exciting. We traveled two nights and a day to get to our last stop, Castaway Cay. It is a tiny island in the Bahamas that Disney owns. And the great thing is that all the food on the island was FREE.

You can see on our room lampshade where we are going - approximately the SE corner of where Cinderella's castle is.

Our final spot. Nobody lives there. You can see only a handful of people (workers) on the beach. They travel from neighboring islands to help out when a Disney boat docks. All the other workers on the island are crew members.

I don't know about you but I would want to be in public with my Mickey slippers on. I was just wondering if he also had some Lightning McQueen ones, with wheels.

Captain John needed to back into his parking again so he took to remote controls on the side of the bridge so he could see where he was going.

Our Parking spot.

Since we would be arriving home at Cape Canaveral the next day and since we were at Disney's private island and since there would not be time to spiff up the boat for the next cruise, Today was the day they did a deep cleaning of the boat. The pools were drained and cleaned (I suppose you know what eventually coats public pools). Everything on the boat was closed. They expected everyone to lay out on the beach.

The only side of the boat they could spray wash was the dock side. That would also be the side the new cruisers would see. Who cares about the other side anyway.

Since the boat is registered in the Bahamas, they flew the Bahamian Flag while we were there. The Flag of the Bahamas. The black equilateral triangle on the left represents the unity and determination of the people of the Bahamas. the triangle is oriented toward three equal-width stripes symbolizing areas of natural resource; two aquamarine stripes at the top and bottom of the flag represent the sea and one gold stripe representing the land. The flag was adopted on July 10, 1973.
The civil ensign is the red ensign with a white cross throughout and the national flag in the upper-hoist corner. There is your history lesson.

This old gas pump is over run with weeds, because they don't sell much of it anyway.

Captain Jack Sparrow was there to greet the visitors.

Warning sign, if you plan on going in the water.

Ocean view.

Fresh Catch of the day.

Our boat.

Here doggy, doggy.

Sign post so you didn't get lost on the one sidewalk on the island.

Got to the beach and needed to write something.

It didn't last long because there was a Logan on the loose.

Kellan just loved the sand and was content just to stay there and let it run through his fingers. Oh he ate some too.

See? I just let it run through my fingers.

The high temperature was only in the mid 60s with a light breeze, so if you were wet, you got cold when you got out of the water. Liam was cold and Kellan was trying to warm him up. I said, "I don't want to be cold so I'm not going in".

Lunch time. Just pick a line and get what ever you want, as long as it was on the menu. Anything for a picnic was there.

Fresh fruit.

My favorite was the free ice cream.

Our supplies were ready to be loaded.

Jose, our assistant server, was making sure the ice cream machine was working for me.

I didn't know this was a clothing optional beach. Topless girls! Oh my! This is supposed to be a family beach. Well it doesn't look like she was cold.

Which Mt Rushmore is the real one?

The boys wanted some play time at Scuttle's Cove center for young kids, while us adults tanned.

Daisy was waiting for us when we got back to the boat. Not once did the boat leave without us. Daisy told the captain to wait.

My favorite sailors.

Part of the crew.

Our final sunset in the Bahamas.

The menu for our Last Supper.

Final towel animal waiting for us.

The picture above our bed gave us sweet dreams.

I waited until last to show you the sand castle I made. Since it was coral sand, it didn't pack very well. Thi swas the best I could do. It was destroyed several times by Logan, the Terror. He even got in trouble for doing it. I needed to document it before being destroyed again. This time it lasted several minutes.
See for yourselves the shear joy Logan had in destroying it again.
